We acknowledge that accommodation in Leiden is not cheap.
Therefore, we made extra efforts to keep the registration fees as low as possible for a congress in Western Europe.
For junior researchers (MSc, PhD, postdocs who defended their PhD less than three years ago), we provide 15 travel grants (max. 1250 euro per person; download form and apply via iawaleiden2027@naturalis.nl). Lunch and coffee breaks are included in the registration, as well as the welcoming reception (including guided tour in the Hortus Botanicus) and the canal tour in Leiden by boat on Wednesday afternoon.
Early registration closes on 15 March, with the full registration fee applying until 15 June. Your registration is complete only after both payment and abstract submission. Payments
We accept payments by Mastercard and Visa. Any additional fees (e.g. bank charges) are at your own expense. Payments by Apple Pay and Google Pay are also accepted. Final registration includes payment of the congress fee.
Cancellation policy
Cancellations are free up to 10 working days before the start of the congress. Cancellations made 5–10 working days before the event incur a 50% charge, while cancellations made less than 5 working days before the event incur the full 100% charge.
Letters of Invitation and VISA
The IAWA LEIDEN 2027 organisers are happy to support participants where possible by providing general information and issuing a letter of invitation for visa purposes. Please note, however, that the Secretariat cannot assist with the visa application process itself and cannot guarantee the outcome or processing time of any visa application.
Requests for a letter of invitation can be indicated during the registration process and/or submitted via iawaleiden2027@naturalis.nl. Letters of invitation are issued only after full payment of the registration fee and will be addressed exclusively to the registered participant (not to accompanying persons).
